When you use our solar scorecard tool, we collect the information you provide: your postcode, roof direction, approximate electricity bill, household size, battery interest, and home ownership status. This information is used to generate your personalised solar score.

If you choose to request installer quotes, we additionally collect your name, email address, and phone number. We do not collect this information unless you explicitly opt in to the quote request process.

We also collect standard analytics data such as pages visited, device type, browser type, and approximate location (city-level) through cookies and similar technologies. This data is anonymised and used to improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your scorecard answers are used solely to calculate your personalised solar score and system recommendations. This data is processed on our servers and is not shared with any third party unless you request installer quotes.

If you request installer quotes, we share your scorecard data and contact details with up to 3 vetted, CEC-accredited solar installers in your area. We clearly indicate when this data sharing will occur and only proceed with your explicit consent.

If you provide your email to receive your scorecard by email, we will send you the scorecard and may send occasional solar-related content. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We never sell your personal information to data brokers, marketing companies, or any third party for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in Australia. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data transmitted between your device and our servers.

Scorecard data (without personally identifiable information) may be retained in aggregate form for statistical analysis and to improve our scoring algorithm.

Personal contact information provided for installer quotes is retained for 12 months and then deleted unless you request earlier deletion.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to make our website function correctly and analytics cookies (Google Analytics or similar) to understand how visitors use our site. Analytics data is anonymised and not linked to your personal identity.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some website functionality.
